« Le Consortium, » a contemporary art center based in Dijon, France was founded in 1977. « Le Consortium » has aimed to build the conditions and situations to let the art « happen »: production for specific place and time, over the last 30 years. Major solo exhibitions organized at Le Consortium include Yayoi Kusama
(2001), who gave an exhibition at the Mori Art Museum in the past, On Kawara (1990), Frank Stella (1995), Sarah Morris (1998), and Angela Bulloch (2005).
In « Urgent Talk 005, » Co-Director and Associate Commissioner of « Le Consortium » will make a presentation on their various activities. Le Consortium has curated shows outside Dijon, including the last « Le Consortium.coll » at the Centre Pompidou, Paris (1998), « Pierre Huyghe » at The French Pavilion at the 49th
Venice Biennale (2001), the 7th Lyon Biennale (2003), and « Flower Power, » a large international exhibition for Lille 2004, Cultural Capital of Europe.
